New US Embassy Building Contract

Prestec UK Limited has been awarded the contract for the below ground concrete preparation and waterproof linings at the flagship new United States Embassy building, currently under construction by Sir Robert McAlpine in Wandsworth, London.

Prestec UK Limited has been awarded the contract for the below ground concrete preparation and waterproof linings at the flagship new United States Embassy building, currently under construction by Sir Robert McAlpine in Wandsworth, London.

The contract will see Prestec carrying out the preparation and waterproofing works to the concrete water tanks at the prestigious new US Embassy building, known as the New London Embassy (NLE), currently being built in the Nine Elms area of Wandsworth.

Prestec spokesman, Russell Wilks, Southern Contracts Manager commented: “Our Extensive experience within the field of hydro demolition/preparation and structural waterproofing ensured that Prestec were the ideal contractor for the job, with the capability to carry out the works to a high standard, within budget and on time.”

The new building will replace the existing Embassy building in Grosvenor Square, providing a modern, secure and environmentally friendly facility for the 21st century. Due for completion in late 2016, the new Embassy building embraces the latest energy-efficient building techniques and was designed by Philadelphia-based architects Kieran Timberlake. The main contractor is leading UK construction and civil engineering company, Sir Robert McAlpine.
